If you follow the shoreline south from Inner Brigurd Point you will come across Stoney Port, this is a rocky area and it is suggested there was a substantial roman harbour located here with a pier of over 50 metres in length although no definite evidence exists.

It is said that if a roman road existed along the coast and past the Three Sisters it was possibly a "Haaf Weg" (the sea road) used to take the bodies of kings to the harbour for the journey to Iona where they would be buried.

Still heading south you will come across Little Brigurd, this area comprises of the water outflow for the power station and attracts many wildlife from birds to seals.
