On the top of Goldenberry Hill is a Cairn, unfortunately no information exists why it was built or when but it is listed on archive maps in 1888 as a Shepherds Cairn.

There are similar shepherds cairns throughout Scotland and they represent Shepherds that have died due to bad winter weather.
